ClimHealth,
a project accredited by the Space Climate Observatory (SCO):

          The

ClimHealth project
aims to integrate climate and environmental information from
satellites into health surveillance systems to develop early
warning and guide disease control. This project is realized
          by UMR Espace-Dev

UMR Espace-Dev
          with participants from

IRD
          and

University of La Réunion
          based at

SEAS-OI
          . It is funded by

CNES
          and has been accredited by

the Space Climate Observatory (SCO) International Initiative.

            ClimHealth - Leptospirosis Yangon,
an operational application in the frame of the ECOMORE 2 Project:

          The

ECOMORE 2 Project
          (ECOnomic development, ECOsystem MOdifications, and
emerging infectious diseases Risk Evaluation), funded by

Agence Française pour le Développement (AFD),
aims at better understanding anthropogenic ecological changes
responsible for the emergence of infectious diseases and to
measure the health risks for local communities as a result of
improvement of surveillance systems and strengthening of national
and regional cooperation. ECOMORE 2 is coordinated by Institut
Pasteur and is implemented in 5 countries through: the Institut
Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) in Cambodia, the Institut Pasteur du
Laos (IPL) in Lao PDR, the National Health Laboratory (NHL) in
Myanmar, The Reaserch Institute of Tropical Medicine (RITM) in
the Philippines and the National Institute of Hygiene and
          Epidemiology (NIHE) in Vietnam.

In Myanmar, a dedicated Work Package coordinated by the National
Health Laboratory has focused on developing the response capacity
of Health authorities and Health community to reduce morbidity and
mortality due to Leptospirosis and so to improve health of populations
most affected by flood and heavy rainfall in urban and peri-urban
          environment.
